Market Madness Bracket

Track performance and explain outcomes.

StockSt uses fictional currency and simulated shares for education only. This is not investment advice.

Setup

  1. Create a bracket of 8, 16, or 32 StockSt shares.
  2. Each round, shares compete on a teacher-selected metric: percentage price change, best response to a news event, lowest volatility, best research thesis written by students, or best risk-adjusted result.
  3. Students predict the winner of each matchup before the round and justify their predictions.

Scoring

Award points for correct predictions and for high-quality explanations.

Teacher debrief

After each round, ask which prediction was the best-argued, even if it was wrong. At the end, ask students what the bracket taught them about the difference between luck and skill.
