Setup
- Give each team the same starting balance.
- Display five celebrity shares with current prices and recent trends.
- Give each team sealed “news envelopes” that will be revealed in rounds.
- Before each reveal, teams have two minutes to buy, sell, or hold.
- After each event, reveal the price movement. Teams record the decision made, the reason, the actual result, and what they would do differently.
Scoring
- 2 points for a correct directional prediction.
- 3 points for a clear written rationale.
- 2 points for correctly calculating percentage change.
- 1 point for identifying a risk.
Teacher debrief
Ask each team to share the round where their prediction was furthest off, and what the news or the market reaction taught them.
