Trade Journal Relay

Build disciplined decision-making.

StockSt uses fictional currency and simulated shares for education only. This is not investment advice.

Setup

  1. Each team manages a shared portfolio.
  2. Before every trade, the team completes a journal entry: share name, buy/sell/hold decision, current price, reason for the decision, main risk, and exit plan.
  3. Rotate a “Market Reporter” role. That student announces one piece of news each round.
  4. Another student acts as “Risk Officer” and can veto any trade that exceeds the team’s position limit.

Scoring

Award points for complete journals, disciplined position sizes, and quality reflections, not merely portfolio gains.

Teacher debrief

Have teams trade journals and read one entry aloud. Ask which entry gave the clearest reason for a decision and what made it clear.
