Identifying stocks on StockSt
Every listing has a name, symbol, sector, and stage — know what you are looking at.
On StockSt, each tradeable person is a stock with a display name (and sometimes a stage name), a short symbol (ticker), and optional sector/industry tags.
Only listings that are active and public appear in the live market. Suggested names wait for approval before they can be traded.
When you open a profile, confirm the symbol and that the stage is PUBLIC. That avoids confusing a fan suggestion with a live listing.
Takeaways
- Symbol + name uniquely identify a listing.
- Sector/industry help you compare similar people.
- PUBLIC + active means the name can trade.
