Celebrity Portfolio Bingo
Recognize categories, ownership, and price movement.
StockSt uses fictional currency and simulated shares for education only. This is not investment advice.
Setup
- Give each student a 3x3 bingo card. Fill the squares with prompts such as: own a music share; own a sports share; own a movie share; own a share that went up; own a share that went down; own three different categories; explain why you chose a share; find a share whose price changed after news; own the lowest-priced share on your list.
- Students complete squares by making trades in StockSt and explaining their choices.
- To claim a square, a student must explain it to the teacher or a partner.
- The first student to complete a row, after explaining each square, wins.
Scoring
First to complete a row wins, but a square only counts once the student has explained it. Consider also celebrating the clearest explanation of the round.
Teacher debrief
Ask, “Which category changed the most? Why might that have happened?” Then ask students which square was hardest to complete and what they learned from it.
