Setup
- Teams manage portfolios over three to five class sessions.
- Award medals in several categories: Best Diversification (most balanced category exposure); Best Research (strongest evidence-based thesis); Best Risk Manager (smallest maximum drawdown); Best Comeback (strongest recovery after a negative event); Best Journal (most complete and reflective trade log); Best Communicator (clearest final portfolio presentation); and Best Overall Portfolio (highest score combining return, risk, and process).
Scoring
Medals are awarded per event, so no single lucky trade decides the winner. Use the universal scoring model to decide the Best Overall Portfolio.
Teacher debrief
Celebrate each medal winner by reading out what they did well. Ask students which medal they would most like to win next time and what they would change to earn it.
